Daniel watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 9-0 loss to Belton-Honea Path on Friday. Belton-Honea Path scored on a double by Roper in the first inning, a sacrifice fly by Lecroy in the second inning, a walk by Davis in the second inning, and a groundout by Patterson in the second inning.
The Daniel struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Belton-Honea Path, giving up nine runs.
Belton-Honea Path got on the board in the first inning. Belton-Honea Path scored two runs when Roper doubled.
Davis led things off on the hill for Belton-Honea Path. He lasted six innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out five and walking one.
