Daniel lost the lead late in a 6-3 defeat to Walhalla on Friday. The game was tied at three with Walhalla batting in the bottom of the sixth when James Hanvey drew a walk, scoring one run.
Nichols led things off on the mound for Walhalla. He allowed four hits and three runs over six innings, striking out four.
Brock Jacobs was on the pitcher’s mound for Daniel. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing six hits and six runs. Davis Morris threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jacob Peake, Hovey Herd, Jacobs, and Jackson Crosby each collected one hit to lead Daniel.
Walhalla was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Jonathon Bonadies made the most plays with six.
