Daniel Lions C-Team had a tough time generating runs on Wednesday, dropping their game with Seneca 12-2.
Daniel Lions C-Team opened up scoring in the first inning, when Watson Young singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
Seneca pulled away for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second an error scored two runs for Seneca, Zach Leroy singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and Cayden Hawk drew a walk, scoring one run.
Seneca scored four runs in the third inning. Landon Pitts, Carson Roberts, Leroy, and Cade Eavenson each drove in runs during the inning.
Roberts got the win for Seneca. Zach Earnhardt took the loss for Daniel Lions C-Team. He went two innings, allowing eight runs on five hits and striking out three.
Clay Herd, Ben Joplin, Nolan Bedenbaugh, Eli Kernaghan, Gavin Batt, Earnhardt, and Young each managed one hit to lead Daniel Lions C-Team.
Seneca tallied 10 hits in the game. Leroy, Eli Williamson, Teagan McCaffery, and Roberts all collected multiple hits for Seneca. Leroy led Seneca with two hits in three at bats. Seneca stole nine bases during the game as two players stole more than one. McCaffery led the way with two. Seneca didn’t commit a single error in the field. Eavenson had the most chances in the field with three.
