Daniel snagged a late lead and defeated Seneca 5-3 on Wednesday. The game was tied at three with Daniel batting in the top of the fourth when Brodie Conn drew a walk, scoring one run.
Seneca fired up the offense in the first inning.
Aren Stewart earned the win for Daniel. He went five innings, allowing three runs on eight hits, striking out five and walking one.
#7 took the loss for Seneca. He lasted three and a third innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out seven.
Thomas Friar went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Daniel in hits. Daniel didn’t commit a single error in the field. Griffin Batt had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
Seneca tallied eight hits on the day. #11 and #14 all had multiple hits for Seneca. Seneca was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. #14 had the most chances in the field with ten.
