Tuesday’s game against Palmetto was a heartbreaker for Daniel, as they lost the lead late in a 7-5 defeat. The game was tied at three with Palmetto batting in the bottom of the fifth when Carter singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

Daniel got on the board in the first inning.

Yates got the start for Palmetto. He lasted five and a third innings, allowing four hits and five runs while striking out three.

Jordan Spearman was on the mound for Daniel. He went four innings, allowing five runs on seven hits and striking out one. Cambell Guffey threw two innings out of the bullpen.
Hovey Herd, Dylan Christmas, Brock Jacobs, and Jackson Crosby all had one hit to lead Daniel. Daniel didn’t commit a single error in the field. Christmas had the most chances in the field with seven.

Palmetto collected ten hits. Lyon, Franklin, and Alberson each managed multiple hits for Palmetto.
