Daniel defeated Pendleton 10-0 on Thursday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Cambell Guffey induced a groundout from Barnes to finish off the game.
Daniel got on the board in the first inning. Brodie Conn singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
Daniel put up three runs in the second inning. Jordan Spearman and Brock Jacobs all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
A single by Morris in the second inning was a positive for Pendleton.
Hovey Herd led things off on the hill for Daniel. He went four and a third innings, allowing zero runs on two hits and striking out two.
Taylor started the game for Pendleton. He went one and one-third innings, allowing six runs on five hits and walking one. Walker threw four and a third innings in relief.
Jacobs went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Daniel in hits. Daniel was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Dylan Christmas made the most plays with eight.
Morris led Pendleton with two hits in three at bats.
