Daniel Boys Basketball Brenton Benson is one of two players for the Lions to sign to play basketball at the next level. Brenton has signed to play for the Pioneers of Spartanburg Methodist College.
Andrew Latiff, a 6’4 shooting guard for Daniel will be furthering his basketball career by joining the basketball program at College of Charleston this fall. Andrew is one of two signing to play basketball at the next level.

The Daniel High School Lions Boys Basketball Team finished the year strong with an overall record of 22-6 (8-2) in region play. The Lions accumulated the highest win total since the 2012-2013 season in which they went 21-7. In addition, Daniel had big wins over the eventual Upper State Qualifier Wren High School and Lakewood High
Congratulations to Brenton Benson on being selected to play in the 2020 North/South All Star Basketball game on Saturday, March 21 at Lexington High School.
The Varsity Boy’s Basketball Team is set to host Lakewood on Wednesday (2/19/20) at 7:00 PM in the first round of the South Carolina state playoffs. This Lions are currently 21-5 on the season and look to finish strong. Admission is $6.00 and only SCHSL passes are accepted.
Below is the schedule for the First Round of the State Playoffs. Only SCHSL passes accepted, tickets are $6. Girls: Round 1 – Bye Round 2 – Friday, Feb. 21 @ Home, opponent TBA Boys: Round 1: Wednesday Feb. 19 vs. Lakewood, 7:00 p.m.
Walhalla will travel to Daniel tonight to take on the Lions in a big region basketball game. The girls will start at 6:00 p.m., with the boys immediately following.
